Sell Your Ebook - How to Write an Effective Sales Page

Writing your E-book is not all that hard, and neither is selling it - if you have done your market research and if you have an effective sales page. Let's look at the sales page part right now.

This sounds simple, but many people lose sight of the one purpose of your sales page - that is to sell your ebook. To that end, you want to make your page simple. Don't include a lot of graphics and fancy flash players that distract your visitors. You want your page to load quickly and immediately capture your reader's attention.

Start by writing a large, attention-grabbing, promise-filled heading. The first thing you want your visitors to see is your heading. Then write a longer (just a sentence or two) subheading to further reiterate the promises you made in your heading. Then write the actual sales page. Your page should be written as if you were talking one-on-one with the reader.

Don't use fluffy and complicated words. Keep it simple!

Within your sales page you should include some items that will encourage your reader to buy from you. You could include testimonials from those that have already purchased your ebook. You might include free bonuses in addition to your ebook for those that are "almost ready" to buy.

You certainly want to include some type of guarantee. Many people are nervous about buying online because they can't return your ebook at the local Wal-mart like they are used to doing. So make them feel comfortable about buying your book.

Finally, use PostScripts (P.S.) Studies have shown that people will read the top of the sales page and then scroll down to see the remainder. They always stop at the very bottom, and that is where you have to hook them. For you to have an effective sales page, you must use at least 2 -3 P.S. on the bottom.
